Dance tips in September

The start of the new dance season will be diverse, soulful, wild and utopian.

Diverse development

The ballet schools of Ussa Pinazza and Christina Szegedi celebrate the beauty of diversity in their collaboration VielFalt. The ballet students perform short pieces in which they explore diversity in all its facets. Not only the diversity of dance styles is the theme of the performance, but also folding and unfolding play an important role. The Kurtheater Baden promises a varied evening of dance.

Together

In ECHO, Naomi Kamihigashi and Thomas Walschot thematise the relationship between two people. The performance is part of the exhibition Paare / Couples at the Fotostiftung Schweiz. In dance, the two celebrate moments of togetherness and connect their present with their past. Memories, emotions, movement and sound create a multi-layered image of a couple.

Wilder than wild

Wild Wild Card is a wilder version of Tanzhaus Zürich's open practice format Wild Card. The programme offers space to experiment and try out an idea in the field of shared movement practice. The format is open to all bodies, backgrounds and abilities. Dare and be inspired or share your idea with others.

The city in the countryside

+Erba begins with two huge blank canvases. The two dancers create images on these surfaces and use their bodies to transform the stage into a vibrant environment. But the man-made city drives out nature and makes the green spaces disappear. Can the audience help the dancers? The interactive performance aims to bring forms of expression beyond language or cultural barriers to life. Let yourself be surprised by this imaginary city of the future.
