Live music in January

Let's go, 2024. I've prepared a wild mix of genres for you, so that everything will only get better from now on.

Noémi Büchi & Manuel Oberholzer

Two figureheads of the experimental electronic label are coming to Moods for the OUS label night: label founder Manuel Oberholzer, alias Feldermelder, and Noémi Büchi both create entire sound atmospheres that go against conventional sound habits and structures. On this evening, the two will not only perform individually, but also together. They will be presenting their joint project Musique Infinie, with which they released a fantastic album in December.

Rumble snuff

Nothing could be further removed from Noémi Büchi than Rummelsnuff. Optionally compared to Popeye or the Michelin Man, he is first and foremost one thing: a mountain of muscles with a captain's cap on top. Born in the GDR, the former bodybuilder and Berghain bouncer sings about sailor's yarn, bratwurst or his muscles to cheerful, swaying techno beats. Yes, that's right.

Fuffifufzich

Fuffifufzich is the alter ego of German actress Vanessa Loibl, and what Loibl is particularly good at as a musician is singing about "heartbreak". She does this ironically, laconically and in a language that young people understand. Compassionate and singable even over 30 and without a broken heart.

The Notwist

About every six years, this legendary band from a small Bavarian town comes back with a new album and the whole indie world turns upside down. This was also the case when "Vertigo Days" was released in 2021: an album for which the band invited guests from the indie world, from Asia, North and South America. They probably won't be there at Dynamo, but even so, a performance by The Notwist is always a minor miracle.

Ronin Rhythm Clan

For the thousandth time, Exil co-founder Nik Bärtsch invites his formation Ronin to perform on Mondays. To celebrate this anniversary, the number of Ronin musicians will double and Ronin will be transformed into the Ronin Rhythm Clan - a group that is normally only found on the stages of international jazz festivals. "A few surprises" have also been announced for the evening - we can look forward to it!

Live music in July & August

From now on, musical life will take place outdoors. The open-air classics feature big names, whilst there’s plenty to discover on the smaller stages.

Out of the club: at the Street Parade, at the airport and in sacred spaces

Zurich is gearing up for the Street Parade, whilst clubs are closing down. People are dancing in places where they would normally watch aeroplanes, wear hiking boots or reflect on life.
