Dance tips in September

In the clothes we wear, in the air we breathe or in the water we drink, plastic is a constant companion in our lives and we cannot imagine life without it. A material that permeates all ecosystems and living beings and probably represents one of the biggest problems of the 21st century. The piece living matter(s) in which three performers fight their way through the plastic landscape is dedicated to this flood of plastic. Exciting connections between human and non-human bodies emerge. On 15 September, you can watch the performance via livestream and on 17 September, the TanzLOBBY IG Tanz Zürich will hold a dance night table afterwards. In a moderated discussion you can exchange your impressions and deepen your experience as a spectator. A great offer that you shouldn't miss!

Would you rather dance yourself than watch? At the SalsaRica open day you will find various free workshops. The dance school opens its doors to all those who are interested in dancing, but also to those who want to enjoy a day full of dancing. You can attend various classes without pre-registration and if you still haven't had enough, you can continue dancing into the small hours at the party Heimspiel No 33 from 9 pm. Dance your way through the different styles and discover something new.

The choreographer Edouard Hue and the Beaver Dam Company are developing their latest choreography DIVE. The piece, which will premiere in October at the Kurtheater Baden, is being created in close collaboration with the Baden-based tanz+ residency centre. Hue and his company are already giving first glimpses of their current work in Baden. Let yourself be surprised.

Are you in the mood for spontaneity and creativity? Then Rebounds is just the thing. You don't need any preparation for this evening in the Toni-Areal, because even the performers don't know exactly how the performance will go. Students of the Master of Arts in Dance together with jazz saxophonist and composer Ohad Talmor will present an improvisation performance. Enjoy this evening of dance that promises variety.
