Nowruz: The Persian New Year

Nowruz ist eines der ältesten Neujahrsfeste der Welt und wird von über 300 Millionen Menschen in verschiedenen Regionen gefeiert. Grund genug, sich der persischen Kultur zu widmen: Zwei Veranstaltungen feiern das Nowruz-Fest selbst, fünf weitere thematisieren die persische bzw. iranische Kultur.

Nowruz - the Persian New Year - is the oldest bank holidays in the world with a history of over 3000 years and is celebrated by over 300 million people in different regions. It means "new day" and marks the beginning of spring. Reason enough to look at Persian culture and highlight some events, two celebrate the Nowruz festival itself, others focus on Persian or Iranian culture.
