‘Je suis Noires’ in the presence of R. M’Bon

Film “Je suis Noires” (2022, 52 mins, German/French) by Rachel M’Bon and Juliana Fanjul

For *Je suis noire(s)* (2022, 52 mins, DE/FR, aka films co-produced with RTS), directed by Rachel M’Bon and Juliana Fanjul, interviews were conducted with six Black women. From students to lawyers, they talk about their lives, their concerns and the microaggressions they have experienced. The prevailing view is that racism has been overcome and that BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) have a firm place in society.

However, these personal accounts paint a different, more nuanced picture. They show that inequalities still exist. Protagonists such as Anja Nunyola Glover (Anja Nunyola Glover) also speak of positive developments.
