Tropical show houses and historic park

The municipal horticultural centre features three plant showhouses and a park covering around 7,000 m², which are open to the public all year round.

The Palm House, designed as a varied jungle, is a place of tranquillity with over 50 different plants and various bird species. Flowers and exotic fruits can be found in the Tropical House. The abundance of colours, shapes and scents, the high humidity and the roar of the waterfall combine to create an atmospheric backdrop. In the Subtropical House, plants from Madagascar are exhibited, cared for and preserved as a collection.

The historic park grounds are home to an interesting botanical selection of European and overseas plants, as well as a sand garden. A wild bee paradise, an educational garden and numerous areas managed in a natural way provide an insight into the layout and maintenance of ecologically valuable areas.
