A break from gardening in November

Tea, coffee, a cosy chat and a talk on compost – a material teeming with life.

The garden and nature are at rest. Time for a cosy chat!

Once a month at the Gärtnerhaus, there’s tea, coffee, firewood and time to chat about gardens and the world. Alongside a talk on our green surroundings, there’s also something to discover or try out.

The topic for November is compost. Not only does it minimise our household waste, but it also makes a valuable fertiliser for garden and houseplants. How is good compost made? Which creatures live in it and what do they do? And what actually happens to the compost in winter?

We’ll be swapping tips on making good garden or worm compost. And anyone who’d like to can take a closer look at the compost on site or get stuck in themselves by layering or mixing it.

For curious and sociable people from all over the world. No prior knowledge required. Come and go as you please. The session starts at 2.15 pm.

Venue: Gärtnerhaus, Gutstrasse 195 (please just come in)
