Installation «zustandsgestalten»
Reto Pulfer (b. 1981) creates large-scale installations using textiles, wickerwork and organic materials. He intervenes in existing spaces and, through his temporary interventions, enables us to see or experience familiar things in a new light.
The installation “zustandsgestalten” invites us to engage with nature in a different way. The ribbons, woven by Pulfer himself, complement and contrast with the natural diversity of forms found in succulents. Sometimes the works are attached to the plants; at other times, the plants climb up the ribbons. The result is a symbiotic coexistence in which plants and human culture merge and existing hierarchies are dissolved. The installation is conceived as an organic process that grows alongside the plants.
The work is on display in the greenhouses of the succulent collection.

The greenhouses are wheelchair accessible, but the corridors are narrow. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible. In the building of the Water Police, Mythenquai 73 (+41 44 41243 65) there is a multi-functional and disabled toilet accessible without thresholds (fees CHF 1.- or Eurokey).
