The Succulent Collection Zurich has housed one of the largest and most important special collections of succulent plants since 1931. The collection has over 4500 different species from around 79 different plant families. This diversity can be experienced in seven greenhouses as well as cold frames and a rock garden. Come with us on an exciting journey around the globe.

Special exhibitions, guided tours and demonstrations for children and adults highlight the beauty, diversity and vulnerability of succulents, as well as their adaptability to their special habitats. In the display collection, all information is provided in two languages. There is a holiday and leisure programme for children. School activities round off the educational work.

Accessibility

The greenhouses are wheelchair accessible, but the corridors are narrow. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible. In the building of the Water Police, Mythenquai 73 (+41 44 41243 65) there is a multi-functional and disabled toilet accessible without thresholds (fees CHF 1.- or Eurokey).
