Jürg Halter - Fuck Slogans

The renowned writer, spoken word artist and social critic Jürg Halter is an artist who moves as naturally as playfully in and between genres: literature, music, theatre and performance are the fields in which he has so far successfully stood out in Switzerland and abroad. Now, after collaborations with artists such as Silvia Bächli, Yves Netzhammer, Walter Pfeiffer, Dieter Meier, Huber.Huber, Tabaimo, Lutz & Guggisberg, Aiko Watanabe, Uwe Wittwer and Ester Vonplon, Halter's first solo exhibition is coming up, which can also be understood as a return to his roots; Halter had once studied "Fine Arts". Under the title "Fuck Slogans", Jürg Halter's pictures and photographs can be seen for the first time at Galerie & Edition Stephan Witschi in Zurich. An exhibition in which Halter searches for what unites and separates word and image, questions language as a means of propaganda and stubbornly puts poetry into the picture.
