Moments of solitude manifest themselves differently in every person. For some, it is a calm companion in everyday life. For others, it feels heavy – like a painful loss of closeness. In the theatre production marking the 20th anniversary of the MAXIM Theatre, we are dedicating a celebration to it. We are celebrating in defiance of loneliness – and seeking our dignity within it.
Led by the hosts, five performers weave together their own experiences and those of others into a shared celebration. They belong to different generations – ranging from 20 to 74 years old – and deal with loneliness in very different ways.
At the heart of the production are anniversaries from the past and the future, brought to life through dance and music. An evening full of comfort, remembrance and joy – a toast to coming together.
