Immerse yourself in Zurich’s green oasis

In the heart of Zurich and the awakening of spring lies the old Botanical Garden – a stress-free, green oasis to lose yourself in.

Since then, the New Botanical Garden in the Weinegg district has been home to around 9,000 different plant species across an area of 53,000 m². As part of the Institute of Systematic Botany at the University of Zurich, the garden is primarily used for teaching and public education on plant diversity. The Old Botanical Garden is therefore now used primarily as an idyllic local recreation area.
