International Museum Day: Happy Museums!

21 May is International Museum Day. This year the motto is: "Happy Museums: Sustainability and Wellbeing". 7 ideas where to celebrate Museum Day:

Sunday 21 May marks the 46th anniversary of International Museum Day. It was established in 1977 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The text of the 1977 ICOM resolution states (freely translated from English): "Museums are an important means for cultural exchange, the enrichment of cultures and the development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples". International Museum Day is also intended to help strengthen the role of the museum and to make visitors more aware of the diversity of museums.
